Also, do you think the lower CTR will hurt the campaign or does Google understand that content will get lower CTR and factor that in?

great article. i’ve actually considered your point 3.3 before about splitting content and search campaigns, since this can help you analyze campaigns from the top-level (at-a-glance). rather than viewing mixed data.
