Google CEO On Click Fraud
Google CEO Eric Schmidt believes the perfect economic solution analysis is the best way to combat click fraud, and PPC advertising model is self-correcting to click fraud.
Google Adwords is currently a PPC advertising model in which advertisers pay for any clicks on their PPC text ads that are triggered by searchers. This model makes PPC advertising in some ways vulnerable to click fraud.
The perfect economic solution analysis for click fraud suggests that any Google Adwords charges to advertisers for fraudulent clicks would naturally be viewed by Google advertisers as a cost of doing business with Google, and will be factored into advertiser ROI calculations.
At the end of the day, it is the responsibility and sensibility of the PPC experts to identify click fraud activities. Any huge increase in daily click volume should trigger an alarm of click fraud to professional PPC experts.
