Google Plus Social Network, New Google Web Search Interface

Google launched a new web search interface, with new ways to display both organic/SEO results and Adwords ads. The new Google web search interface’s design is based on 3 concepts:

  • Focus
  • Elasticity
  • Effortlessness

New Google Web Search Interface

Every web search page including the web search homepage now has Google’s navigation bar at the top. Notice Google’s navigation bar is black.

Organic web search results are displayed with the web page URL before the description.

Google+ Social Network

Google launched the + Project, Google’s social network project. Google + was initially opened up for limited number of sign-ups for a short time period.

Google + Project includes:

  • + Circles
  • + Sparks
  • + Hangouts
  • + Mobile

We want to make Google better by including you, your relationships, and your interests. And so begins the Google+ project.

Your Google + profile page shows the stream of your friends’ updates and latest activities. The interface looks very similar to that of Facebook’s, while in 2010 microblogging tool Google Buzz (similar to Twitter) was launched for broadcasting/sharing messages to friends/followers.

Google +1 has been built into Google + social network. You can “+1″ a friend’s items/messages that appear in your stream.

The search box of Google + allows you to search for people. The buttons next to the search box are home, photos, profile, and circles.
