Submit Site to Bing

Microsoft Bing search engine was launched in June. To ensure your website is included in Bing’s index (and can be “found” on Bing), submit your site to Bing’s URL submission page.

  • You only have to submit your home page URL (e.g. www.gordonchoi.com) as Bing’s MSNBot follows links from your homepage to discover other web pages on your web site.
  • Bing uses MSN’s search algorithm. If your site is already getting organic search traffic from Live Search (Live.com) and/or MSN (as shown on your web analytics reports), you do not have to re-submit your website to Bing.

To monitor the status of your site on Bing, sign-up an account to use Bing Webmaster Tools.

Thanks for the link – i have found that one of the quickest ways to get listed is to get links and the search engines will automatically find you. But if you get dropped the link that you provided is excellent. Thanks

Bing seems to be very slow at finding and indexing pages compared to yahoo or google. Bing does eventually find them, just at a much slower rate. Not sure why that is, but better late than never I guess. Thanks for the submit link for Bing.

    Hi –

    Great article!

I worked as a PPC specialist at Google UK for 4 years during the period of Google’s unprecedented growth.

I’ve just started a blog. Read it here: http://www.absorbing.com/google-pay-per-click-best-practice-%E2%80%93-but-best-practice-for-who/

I’ll be blogging regularly, sharing my thoughts on Google PPC from an ‘insider’s’ perspective.

Hi thank you for your advice
I’ve tried the Bing Webmaster Tools, but I think Bing is a bit slow in crawling websites.
But I think that should be fine with me.
    Anyway thanks for the suggestion.

    Something wrong with Bing:(

Same problem here as Don. Site submitted to Bing (manually) in July.

Webmaster tools confirms that site isn’t blocked- yet it’s still not indexed anything! Nutty..
