UK PPC Keyword Minimum Bid Prices Dropping On YSM
On 19 January 2007, Yahoo! Search Marketing reduced keyword minimum CPC for all UK accounts to £0.05. Apparently this is what it was back in 2003.
According to Yahoo!, you can check your minimum bid prices of your existing keywords:
For a currently bidded search term, the minimum bid is shown in a separate column Minimum bid on the Manage Bids page in Manage my Accounts. To see this information, go to the “Manage Sponsored Search” tab and choose the Manage Bids page.
You can also check the minimum CPC of the keywords that you may want to add to your account:
To see the minimum bid price for a new search term, please go to the Manage Sponsored Search tab in Manage my Accounts, select Add Listings and type the terms of your choice into the Enter a word or phrase box. Then, click Get Keywords and you will be provided with a list of related keywords, searched during the previous month. To check their minimum and maximum bid price click on More Bids under the column Top bid and you will be redirected to the View Bids tool.
However, it is also stated for certain keywords, their minimum CPC can be higher than £0.05.
The Minimum Bid for each click vary by search term and starts from £0.05. Please note that as the minimum bid depends on the specific search term, certain keywords will have a variable minimum bid of £0.05 and others a variable minimum bid of £0.10.
