Yahoo China Launches Group

Yahoo China recently launched a BBS (bulletin board system or online forum) community site called Yahoo Club which is the Mainland China localized version of Yahoo Groups to Chinese Internet users. BBS attracts hundreds of thousands of China’s Internet users everyday as it is a social community platform for the Mainland China population to express own opinions in public.

Sohu Club is currently the number one BBS-type of Chinese community site in China and is similar to Yahoo Club. Sohu Club was first launched years ago. The most popular forum topics in Sohu Club include conversations on:

  • Stock markets
  • Movies
  • Cooking
  • In-law relationships

Update:

Yahoo Club was closed after Yahoo China’s merge with Koubei.
