Yahoo! Search Marketing Vs Adwords In Shopping Cart Icon War
Yahoo! has been making every effort in competing with Google on search. By utilizing Yahoo!’s new partnership with eBay, this time Yahoo! is going to show Paypal cart icons on its PPC ads. This is the same route Google has gone through in which Google Checkout cart icons are showing on Adwords ads.
By doing this, Yahoo! is made Paypal the default online payment methods to its PPC advertisers. I expect in the long run, it will attract more Ecommerce site owners which are not currently providing Paypal as a payment option to introduce Paypal on their sites.

While the Paypal cart icon will look like this on Yahoo!’s PPC ads:
Early last year, many SEO experts started to claim that Yahoo! has greatly improved the relevancy on its natural search results. By August last year, Yahoo! also claimed that the size of its search index has already exceeded Google’s.
For those you are like me, who often run numerous PPC campaigns simultaneously will definitely want to know about one thing: Will this Paypal shopping cart icon increase the CTR of your PPC ads? If not, the shopping cart icon should still give your PPC ads better credibility and the user a better experience.
