Ubersuggest Keyword Overview
Start using Ubersuggest with a keyword search by going to:
As an example, enter keyword:
- SEO jobs
Assume this must be a keyword that you are trying to rank organically on Google’s first page or even Google’s position 1.
Ubersuggest returns four high level metrics for the keyword.

- SEO difficulty: Estimated competition in organic search (i.e. Google SEO). The higher the number the more competitive.
- Paid difficulty: Estimated competition in paid search (i.e. Google AdWords). The higher the number the more competitive.
- Cost per click (CPC): Average cost per click if you wanted to pay Google to be seen as an ad. When someone is paying a high CPC, the keyword usually returns a higher value.
Ideally you want this keyword to have as high search volume as possible, and as low SEO difficulty as possible.
The two metrics paid difficulty and CPC give you insights on how difficult and/or competitive a specific keyword is when you advertise through Google AdWords.
The chart shows the search volume per month in the past 12 months for the keyword, split by mobile volume and desktop volume.

Go to SEO Analyzer, Site Audit from the left side menu.
The site audit report provides 4 high level metrics:
- On-page SEO score

- Organic keywords
- Backlinks
On-page SEO score is the overall SEO score for all pages scanned in Ubersuggest’s site audit of your website.
- It is a 0-100 score with 0 being the lowest possible score.
- The on-page SEO score represents a combination of the ratio of issues found to the number of checks performed by the site audit tool.
In the site audit report, it shows information including health check, critical errors, warnings, recommendations, and site speed.
Health check shows how many crawled pages are under the status below.
- Healthy
- Broken
- Have issues
- Redirects
- Blocked
The crawled pages are pages on your website that have been crawled by the Ubersuggest bot.
- Critical errors: They are the issues that have the highest impact on your site’s overall SEO health.
- Warnings: They are less impactful errors to your site’s overall SEO health.
- Recommendations: They have little or no impact on your site’s SEO health but are still important to be aware of.
Site speed is how quickly your site loads or how quickly key elements become available/visible to users on mobile.
- Speed is critial to your website’s SEO health.
- Every 0.5 second it takes to load your website may drastically increase the percentage of visitors that will leave your website (without waiting for your site to be visible).
- Ubersuggest shows the desktop and mobile loading time separately. For example, neilpatel.com loads in 1 second (on desktop) and 2 seconds (on mobile) respectively.
Ubersuggest reveals that a site is:
- Excellent with site speed under 3 seconds
- Good with site speed under 5 seconds
- Fair with site speed under 8 seconds
- Poor with site speed above 8 seconds
The site speed report presents the information using the metrics below:
- First content paint: The time at which the first text or image is painted.
- First meaningful paint: The time when the primary content of a page is visible.
- Speed index: The time at which the contents of a page are visibly populated.
- First CPU idle: The first time at which the page’s main thread is quiet enough to handle input.
- Time to interactive: The time at which the page is fully interactive.
- Est. input latency: This is an estimate of how long your page takes to respond to user input during the busiest 5-second window of page load. When latency is higher than 50ms, users may perceive the page as laggy.
